Basic Mediation Training

40-hour Divorce and Custody Mediation Training

We offer a comprehensive, five-day 40-hour Divorce and Custody Mediation Training that uses a combination of role play, lecture, simulation, discussion and videotapes of actual mediation. Public sessions of the program are regularly scheduled in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and Chicago, Illinois. In addition, we take this same program on the road to offer training onsite throughout the country for sponsoring groups and organizations. Our Divorce and Custody Mediation Training has been approved for continuing education credits in a number of states. » Details

30-hour Custody Mediation Training

This 30-hour Custody Mediation Training is for groups wanting training in the parenting aspects, but not the financial apsects, of divorce mediation. It's been approved by the Family Section of the Association for Conflict Resolution (formerly Academy of Family Mediators). » Details

40-hour Civil Mediation Training

5-Day Basic/Advanced Training in Elder Mediation

This training combines basic mediation and elder mediation skills. It provides practice opportunity for pre-mediation meetings, listening skills, identifying and framing issues, negotiation strategies, and agreement writing within the context of elder mediation. The elder mediation components include skill building exercises and discussion on a range of topics. » Details

Advanced Mediation Training

We present on a range of advanced mediation topics at individual training workshops, conferences and organizations throughout the country. Workshops are geared for mediators who have already taken the basic training, and all satisfy state requirements for continuing education.
